a day of sun

Yes, Rain. Lots of it. I'm content knowing all the benefits that come with lots of rain. Thinking of these benefits sometimes cannot always pull me out of the funk that long stretches of rain and clouds bring with them. I am a native Californian, and I have adapted very well to my environment. I need sun. These Seattle-like stretches have made me realize how much I enjoy the sun.

Flashback yesterday. Sun, blue sky, Simpson's clouds. Beaming, warming, awakening, shining sun. All day long.

When Joaquin went to dreamland, I sat outside in a little patch of direct sun and just sat quietly, listening, absorbing the warmth of the sun. 'Ah' with a lot of H's after it would be a start to how lovely it felt to sit there. Later that afternoon, we took a lengthy walk with friends in Davis....through beautiful parkways with trees, shadows, creeks, and birds.

I felt renewed after a day of sun...and the soaking in of it. Whoever termed "soaking in the sun" did a great task of putting an adjective to the experience of the sun.

So, this morning I awoke to Joaquin and darkness and more rain. I think now I am refuelled and ready to go. Solar is an energy source.
